How It All Started
My grandmother, Isabelle, opened a flower stand at the farmers market in 1998 with nothing but a cooler, a van, and an obsession with what grows well in our region. She was a master gardener—had been for thirty years—and she decided late in life that she wanted to sell what she grew and what she knew.
I was eight years old when she started, and I remember going to the farmers market with her every Saturday, learning to tie bunches, learning the names of flowers, learning which ones lasted and which ones were fragile. By the time I was twelve, I was doing the bouquets alongside her. It wasn’t a job—it was just what we did together.
When Isabelle passed away in 2009, she left detailed notebooks about growing techniques, preferred varieties, and customer preferences. My mother took over the farmers market booth and eventually opened the brick-and-mortar shop. When she retired in 2019, I took the reins. So now, in 2026, it’s technically my shop—but it’s really all four of us. Three generations of hands, one vision.
Behind the Blooms
We own and maintain a small greenhouse where we grow about 40% of the flowers we use. The rest come from three growers we’ve worked with for years—some of whom knew Isabelle personally. We don’t do seasonal gaps. We plan ahead, we propagate what we know people will want, and we stay connected to the land.
One of my favorite stories: Isabelle once turned down a huge corporate account because it would’ve required us to start ordering from mass distributors. She literally told the CEO, “I’m not going to compromise my reputation for your quarterly budget.” That woman came back five years later and asked if we’d design her daughter’s wedding flowers. We did. It was stunning.
That’s the lesson that stuck with me. Short-term money isn’t worth your integrity. So we stay small enough to care about every arrangement. We stay connected to our growers. We know where every stem comes from.
Our Design Approach
Isabelle’s style was romantic and loose—very garden-forward, very “what if we just brought the garden inside.” We’ve kept that as our foundation. Most of our work features lots of greenery, mixed heights, natural movement. We use a lot of roses—both garden roses and hybrid tea roses—dahlias, ranunculus, lisianthus, and whatever specialty flowers are in season.
Our two signature arrangements—Isabelle’s Garden and The Rose Keeper—are designs that directly reference Isabelle’s own aesthetic. Isabelle’s Garden is basically an ode to her original farmers market bouquets: mixed flowers, lots of greenery, hand-tied, wrapped in kraft paper. The Rose Keeper is our more formal rose-focused arrangement, but it’s never rigid—always texture, always movement.
Signature Style
We lean romantic, textured, and very seasonal. Our color palette skews towards muted, garden-like tones—blush, cream, sage, burgundy, dusty mauve—but we do bold arrangements when that’s what someone needs. We’re not precious about matching everything exactly. If there’s a slight color variation between roses, that’s fine. It’s actually more interesting.
We absolutely love dahlias. We have a small dahlia garden of our own, and they’re our favorite flowers to work with. Huge range of colors, incredible texture, they last, and they feel special without being fancy. We also have a soft spot for ranunculus, garden roses, and those delicate hypericum berries.
Values We Stand By
Sustainability isn’t a buzzword for us—it’s how we operate. We use no floral foam. We design with water picks, mechanics, and grid systems. We compost 100% of our waste. We use paper and cardboard, never plastic. We’ve worked with the same growers for years, so we understand their practices and their values.
We also believe in transparency. We tell you when something’s not in season. We don’t force arrangements. We talk honestly about price, availability, and realistic timelines. If you want something special, we’ll tell you upfront if it needs lead time.
“My grandmother taught me that flowers are a conversation between the grower, the designer, and the person receiving them. Every person in that chain matters. That’s still how I think about the work.”—Victoria
Local Partners & Growers
We have relationships with three primary growers—two in our county, one about an hour away. We visit regularly. We know the families who run them. We understand their growing cycles, their challenges, what they’re excited about experimenting with. When we source, we source with intention. These relationships exist because Isabelle started them, and we’ve maintained them for nearly three decades.
We also maintain our own growing spaces. That small greenhouse isn’t just about supply—it’s about maintaining the knowledge. Isabelle spent her whole life learning how to grow things. We’re not going to let that knowledge disappear just because it’s easier to order wholesale.
Come Say Hello
We’re open Tuesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and we love when people come in without an order. You can see what’s fresh, ask questions, chat about flowers, or just appreciate the arrangements. For weddings and events, we do in-person consultations or video calls. Typically we book 4-6 weeks out, though we can sometimes work faster depending on the season and what you need.
Every arrangement is made to order. We don’t have bulk inventory sitting around. So when you come in or call, we’re designing specifically for you, in that moment, with the flowers we have right then. That’s how Isabelle did it, and that’s how we still do it.
