It is getting tall and lanky about 12 inches. but no blossoms Do I trim the leaves at the top to try and promote a bushier plant. I am afaid to cut the top and kill it. but I would like it to get bulkier and have flowers

    1. Yes, you can trim the leaves at the top of your Desert Rose to promote a bushier plant. Pruning can help stimulate new growth and encourage branching. Here’s how you can do it:

Start by using clean and sharp pruning shears or scissors to avoid damaging the plant.
Identify a node on the stem where you want to make the cut. Nodes are the areas where leaves are attached to the stem.
Make a clean cut just above the node, removing the top portion of the stem. Cutting above a node encourages new growth to emerge from that point.
If you want a more compact plant, you can also remove a few of the lower leaves, but make sure to leave enough foliage for photosynthesis and energy production.

After pruning, make sure to provide your Desert Rose with proper care, including adequate sunlight, well-draining soil, and regular watering. Pruning alone may not guarantee immediate flowering, as Desert Roses typically require specific environmental conditions and time to mature before they start blooming. Be patient, and with proper care, your plant may eventually reward you with beautiful flowers.
